Meet our Pastor
Larry grew up in the mountains of northeast Pennsylvania. During his high school years, Larry was tormented by the fact that he didn’t know where he would spend eternity. It was then that he turned from his sin and trusted Jesus Christ for what He had already accomplished by dying for sin. As he listened to the preaching at his home church, his heart was burdened for ministry.
Larry went on to Bible college and seminary, where he met his wife, Lynne. The Lord blessed them with four children. He was ordained to the pastoral ministry by the Baptist Church of Tunkhannock, PA. He then pastored in New York and Indiana for 20 years before planting Berean Baptist Church in Lafayette, Indiana. During the time they were establishing that church, Lynne was afflicted with an advanced cancer and passed away at the age of 50.
In due time, the Lord sovereignly arranged for Larry to meet a widow from Geauga County, Ohio, and they were married in 2006. Meg is a native of the Cleveland area who came to Christ through the witness of friends and a local church. She was involved in helping at the Orwell Bible Church in the Orwell/Windsor area.
Larry and Meg enjoy living in Geauga County and spending time on the walking trails and bike trails in the area. Their days are busy with ministry and making time for family, especially their children and twenty grandchildren.
